    Courses  Offered

     

    The School prepares the students for the 10 years ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) examination which is recognized for admission to the Plus two courses and ISC courses of the Council.

     

    The School also offers ISC (Indian School Certificate) courses, equivalent to the Plus two courses giving eligibility for admission to degree and professional courses.  SSLC course is offered in Kerala Syllabus up to class X.

     

    The medium of instruction is English, Students are expected to speak only English within the school campus. Malayalam and Hindi are compulsory languages for standards I to VII in the ICSE syllabus and then only Malayalam is to be studied compulsory for standards VIII to X in the same syllabus. In the State syllabus, both languages are compulsory from standard I to X.

     

     

    Co-curricular activities

     

     

    In order to enable the students to achieve the integration of education and cultural values with a true philosophy of the life, the school provides ample opportunities to the students for co-curricular activities through the Literary Association, Science Club, Audiovisual theatre, Quiz, Arts, sports, Games, Study Tours, computer Activities, Dance, Instrumental and Vocal Music, Class Magazines, Public Speaking, Leadership Camps, School Band, Yoga Practice, Martial Arts, Mass PT, School News Letter, Bulletin Board, etc.

     

     

     

    Withdrawals

     

     

    a) Advance application signed by the parent or guardian is requested for withdrawing a student from the school.

     

    b) If a pupil is admitted to or withdrawn from the school in the middle of a Term, tuition fee for the whole term should be paid.

     

    c) Transfer certificate will be issued only after all dues are cleared and all the books borrowed from the library are returned.

     

    d) The Principal may ask a parent/guardian to withdraw a child if the child does not comply with the discipline of the school or is incapable of coping up with the curriculum.

     

     

    Absence and Leave

     

     

     

     

    a) Regular attendance is compulsory. Students shall not be absent without valid reasons.

     

    b) If students are ill or have an emergency, the class teacher must be informed and they should bring a leave letter or make a note in the School Diary with the parent’s signature.

     

    c) Absence due to prolonged illness extending over 5 days must be accompanied by a medical certificate.

     

    d) Continuous absence for 15 days or more without permission from the principal is liable to be removed from the roll. Re-admission if granted will be made only after paying the admission fees.

     

     

     

    Payment of fees

     

     

     

    All annual fees and tuition fees from June – September must be remitted at the cash counter before the re-opening of school. Monthly fees must be paid before the 15th of every month.

     

    There shall not be dues before the commencement of the annual examination. Defaulters will not be allowed to write the annual examinations.
     
     
     

     

     

     

    SOME IMPORTANT SUGGESTIONS TO THE PARENTS OF KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN  (PRE-KG, LKG & UKG)

     

    1.  Dress your children neatly but sufficiently in a loose and comfortable dress. Let the socks be clean, shoes polished, and comfortable.
    2.  Avoid gold or silver ornaments totally.
    3.  Identification tags may be attached to all the belongings of the children (Bags, towels, water bottles, etc.)
    4.  Please send a limited quantity of food that the child likes.
    5.  Avoid bringing food in plastic containers.
    6.  Teachers should be informed if your child has any health problem, minor or major.
    7.  It will be useful if you send an additional set of uniform every day.
    8.  In the event of any child boarding the wrong bus or failing to board the bus or not being collected in time, he/she will be kept in the School Campus till taken back by the parents.
    9. There is a first-aid room in the school to give medical aid to children. Whenever necessary, parents will be informed. In an emergency, the child will be hospitalized.
    10. Look at this every day for Teacher’s Remarks.

     

    TIPS FOR STUDENTS

     

    1.  Avoid vulgarity in your behavior, never make fun of others, especially the old and the poor.
    2.  Never hesitate to say an emphatic ‘NO’ when asked or tempted to do anything wrong
    3.  Be God-Fearing. Remember all true wisdom begins and ends in God. Take care, never to offend God, thus alienating  His help from you.
    4.  Never waste time, Time is precious, Never seek excuses for being absent from school. Don’t daydream, but keep your mind on your books. Always be on time for school.
    5.  Follow up on your studies day by day. Do not postpone anything. Never be afraid of asking for further explanations from your teachers.
    6.  Choose your friends carefully. Good friends will help you both by word and example. Keep away from the bad and the lazy.
    7.  Take part in games.
    8.  Do not flinch in face of difficulties in your studies. Tackle all your difficulties with courage; remember a prayer to God for light will always help.
    9.  When studying, keep your mind only on your books. If you read, read useful books; do not get a craze for comics, animated cartoons, and video games.
    10.  Good behavior is an expression of the fine character.
    11.  Be neat and modest in your dress and manners.
    12. l) Courtesy begets courtesy, use the words “please” and “thank you” as often as
    13. m) Be polite, obliging, and helpful. Be careful not to hurt anyone with your word or actions.
    14. n) Be a cheerful giver; you will help to create a beautiful world.

     

    IN THE CHURCH

    Respect the church as it is the House of God. On entering the church make a profound bow with deliberate attention and reverence. Then  go to the place assigned to you. When you stand or sit, do it perfectly. Observe perfect silence in the church which will help you for deep and personal prayer. While saying prayers, do it clearly and distinctly. Your heart must follow the words.

    School bus rules & regulations

    The students can travel by school bus only after remitting  the bus fees and obtaining Journey Card  from the school office. Note the following points as safety measure.

    1. a) See that the School bags are not soft and secure enough to be taken in  the bus.
    2. b) While in the bus, do not stretch your head or hands out of the bus , and never make any noise.
    3. c) Guardians should ensure that children board the bus safely and are taken back on their return.
    4. d) Students who travel by School bus should always carry the Journey Card with them.
    5. e) When the student stops using the school bus, the matter should be reported to the office and the Journey card returned, failing which the bus fee for the whole year will have to be paid.

    Hand Signals             :
    At times hand signals are very necessary. They should be shown clearly, outside the vehicle in order to make them visible for others.  When slowing down the vehicle, extend your arm palm down and swing it up and down.  When stopping raise the forearm vertically;  when turning right extend the arm straight out and turning left extend the arm and rotate it in as anti-clockwise direction.
